It’s no secret now – Microsoft is gonna hit back.
Armed with a new $300 million advertisement campaign, it aims to eradicate long-taught notions from the devastating effects of ‘I’m a Mac, I’m a PC’ of the Apple’s ad team.
Microsoft’s biggest challenge is to get would-be customers, as well as those who are thinking of switching camps, to set aside preconceptions and bad experiences, and listen to the pitch for Vista.
Tim Anderson astutely noted the other day, “Vista is now actually better than its reputation. That’s a marketing issue.”
It’s gonna be an exciting virtual epic battle!

Even though I’m still a Microsoft user, I find myself always entertained by Apple’s digs at Microsoft.
Especially this particular commercial I caught while in Toronto, Canada last Christmas.
And it’s still no secret that I lust over the MacBook Air.
If only Microsoft came up with such designs.
