Recently, there’s been talks on whether Singapore should legalize the sale of kidneys.
Some say it’s immoral.
But if it’s your family member who desperately needs one?
You do the math – 20k in exchange for a healthy life or, stay moral for free and lose a dear life?
Knowing you could still keep a loved one beside you for 20k is definitely gonna haunt you for the rest of your life; unless he/she is not worth the 20k then it’s another story altogether.
Those who object are likely to be those who have never gone through crisis or even thought about their future; with so many diseases out there, who knows what will strike you next?
Some say it will only exacerbate the gap between the rich and the poor – between who can afford to buy one and who are desperate to sell one – exploitation might occur.
But, at the end of the day, it’s mostly a one-time procedure as one can only sell at most one kidney (the other one to stay alive) and pocket $20k and lead a presumably better life.
Only risk is if complications occur – but there’s no free lunch in this world.
Look at media artistes Andrea De Cruz and Pierre Png – they are still alive and kicking.
I don’t see why we are not legalizing it – with proper protocols in place like proper age limit like 21 or heck 23, clear sanity of mind to know what they are going to be into basically – the world might just be a nicer place to live in, knowing that lives could be saved with 20k – and no lives lost.
So many people are still on their high horses, big egos, hypocrisy and all that comes with it.

This reminds me of PETA’s Senior Vice President MaryBeth Sweetland on her use of insulin, which was tested on animals:

“I’m an insulin-dependent diabetic. Twice a day I take synthetically manufactured insulin that still contains some animal products — and I have no qualms about it … I’m not going to take the chance of killing myself by not taking insulin. I don’t see myself as a hypocrite. I need my life to fight for the rights of animals.”

Oh please MaryBeth, you kill animals to save animals. I can clearly see your dedication.
I hate to say this but..what the fuck?
That’s not all.
President Ingrid Newkirk on PETA’s support of violence:

“Let me set the record straight. PETA does not condone or commit violent acts, nor do we threaten anybody with violence.”
–Deseret News, February 12, 2002
Then what about events when you people go up to people and splash red paint on their fur coats? As well as intimidating others and interrogating them while they are just enjoying a quiet dinner with their family and friends? Much nuisance perhaps?
Oh fuck PETA – you are all just a bunch of media extremist whores. Very little of what you do are actually good.
The money you used to buy red paint annually can be channeled to the approximate 1 billion starving children and adults around the world. Wouldn’t that be heart-warming?
I just want people to know that you should not push your ideologies on others – be it religion, culture, food habits, or simply the way you were your clothing.
