Remember when I wrote on Activate Drinks?
And I said that distribution was only in Southern Cali?
Jamie Reedy wrote to inform us that Activate has expanded its distribution outside of Southern California and is now available for sale worldwide online at: http://shop.activatedrinks.com.
Bottoms Up!!
Now available for sale are:

Activate 4-pack

Activate Antioxidant

Activate Energy

Activate Immunity

Activate Vitamin
Prices range from $9 for the 4-pack to $32 for the boxes.
All these health products reminds me of Meiji Amino Collagen which I’ve heard raving reviews on and am very interested in trying them out.

Eisner – son of former Disney Chairman and CEO Michael Eisner – last week told Beverage Digest that his company, Activate Drinks, had secured an “exclusive license” for the cap he planned to use.
But that’s not the case, according to Derek Hopkins, president of Liquid Health Labs. Hopkins said Activate purchases the caps from Liquid Health Labs, but the relationship is not exclusive.
The president of PowerCap – manufacturer Liquid Health Labs has refuted Anders Eisner’s claim that his company had an exclusive contract to use the innovative packaging as part of Eisner’s new enhanced water brand.

Hi Michel
I’ve contacted Activate Drinks to address your concerns.
We should be hearing more from them soon.
I’ve got to be honest. This product does look cool, but we can’t deny the facts…
This isn’t any good for you. Plus it tastes awful.
Whatever happend to people eating a Banana when they wanted Potassium or eating Spinach because they wanted Iron.
As soon as you begin to extract these kinds of ingredients from the original sources, ie Potassium from a Banana, you are changing their chemical makeup.
Thus something that was good for when it came from a natural source, may no longer have the same benefits as it’s associated components are no longer present.
Hi Ken,
The product does look cool and I haven’t tasted it yet…ah well, can’t comment on the taste there.
With regards to your analogy, I would tend to also agree with you that popping a couple of Vitamin C pills isn’t intrinsically the same as consuming an orange for its Vitamin C.
But I think it all boils down to being a novelty – and there’s a market for such novel drinks.
Like the other day I was fascinated in a pub with its sold-out Rose Beer, lol they claim to be the only one with such a beer.
As long as something doesn’t kill you (or anyone else fot that matter), I think it should be fine.
I’m referencing from the deaths arising from food poisoning in my country. Freaky.
