This is pretty cool.
They have got to be the lowest official sellers of the iPhone on the planet now (excluding eBay please).
With original pricing of £269, they have gone down £100 to £169 for their 8gb iPhone.
You can unlock it whatever (as it’s currently tied to O2) after you get it.
Even though this would appeal more for those consumers in countries who do not have services providers signing exclusives with Apple….
BUT if you’re lazy in the US (and do not patronise AT & T) on your couch playing the Wii and refuse to walk down to the Apple store 3 blocks down just cos you have gotten your new guitar for Guitar Heroes…
You have a choice now – to buy from The Carphone Warehouse and ship it to the US via Pharos International at about £35 to New York (other states tend to be cheaper) for their express shipping which takes 1-4 days.
(£35 is a gauge received from MoneySavingExpert.com – This is a terrific site for UK customers!)
So let’s say you live in the majority of other parts of the US and shipping comes up to £28 from UK.
(P.S. To people from where I live – Shipping to Singapore is around the same pricing too, and from what i’ve heard is that there’s some difficulties getting courier Vpost to ship it out; apparently Apple US noticed/banned the Vpost address so as to curb unlocking their phones for use outside of US…)
This would make your total £169 + £28 = £197. Based on today’s exchange rate, we would need: US$388.50 only.
As compared to current pricing of Apple US webstore of US$399. This means you make roughly US$10 just from sitting in your loft.

Great! You have just saved 10 bucks reading this!
Or if you are residing in UK, you saved a whooping US$65! (This offer is however still not reflected in Apple’s UK site – they still quote : £269)
Thank me later!
But please – if you are already a AT & T customer then don’t be daft and try this out cos you’ll still have to fork out money to unlock this phone which is tied to O2 UK – which basically means you don’t make much out of what you saved.
*update: Seems like they ran out of stock currently! But the link to checkout seems like you are still able to place an order..and wait i guess. =))
